The 2H5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse, rat, and human monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), also known as CCL2 and MCAF.
Reported applications include ELISA, intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis, and neutralization assays.
For functional assays, use the Functional Grade purified 2H5 antibody (Product #16-7096-81).
This antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of fixed, permeabilized LPS-stimulated mouse thioglycolate-elicited peritoneal exudate cells.
Recommended usage: ≤ 0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Target Information
The CCL2 gene encodes a cytokine belonging to the CC family, located on chromosome 17q.
This cytokine regulates immune and inflammatory responses, showing chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils.
It is implicated in diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atherosclerosis, and binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
