Target Information

PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 계열의 단일 구성원으로, class IA 계열과 함께 중요한 second messenger인 PIP2를 생성합니다. Class IA 효소가 receptor tyrosine kinase 하류에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR 하류에서 신호를 전달합니다.
이 효소는 인지질의 이노시톨 고리 3-하이드록실기에 인산기를 부가하며, E-cadherin 매개 세포 간 접착을 포함한 세포 외 신호의 중요한 조절자로 작용합니다. 이는 상피세포의 구조적·기능적 완전성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 하며, NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 관여합니다.
PIK3CG 유전자는 골수성 백혈병에서 확인된 염색체 7의 결손 구간에 위치합니다.
