Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 계열의 유일한 구성원으로, class IA family와 함께 중요한 세포 내 신호전달 분자인 PIP2를 생성합니다. Class IA 효소가 receptor tyrosine kinase 하위에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR 하위에서 신호를 전달합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 간 접착(E-cadherin-mediated adhesion)에 의해 유도되는 세포외 신호의 조절자로서, 상피세포의 구조적·기능적 완전성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 관여하며, 해당 유전자는 골수성 백혈병에서 흔히 결실되는 염색체 7 영역에 위치합니다.
