Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of AKT2 only when phosphorylated at Serine 474.
Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues and involved in metabolic actions of insulin. Akt functions as a key transducer in multiple signaling pathways activated by growth factor receptors via PI 3-kinase. AKT2 amplification and overexpression have been observed in certain human cancers.
