Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Breast tumor kinase (Brk) is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase expressed in over 60% of breast carcinoma tissue samples and tumor cell lines. Brk shares 80% identity with Sik (Src-related intestinal kinase) and possesses SH3 and SH2 domains typical of non-receptor tyrosine kinases. Low levels of Brk transcripts have been detected in some human breast tumor cell lines but not in normal breast tissue.
