Target Information
ZNF169 (Zinc finger protein 169) is a 603 amino acid nuclear protein containing one KRAB domain and thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers. It is highly expressed in kidney and weakly expressed in spleen, liver, small intestine, and heart, functioning as a transcription regulator. The gene encoding ZNF169 maps to human chromosome 9q22, a region associated with several diseases including colon cancer, migraine auras, basal cell carcinoma, Gorlin syndrome, and extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma.
