Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The small GTPases Rab family are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from vesicle formation to membrane fusion. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that recruits downstream effectors responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering, and fusion.
RAB1B specifically regulates vesicular transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi compartments and plays a role in the early stages of autophagic vacuole development at specialized regions of the endoplasmic reticulum.
