Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
GNS is a lysosomal enzyme found in all cells and is involved in the catabolism of heparin, heparan sulphate, and keratan sulphate. Deficiency of this enzyme results in accumulation of undegraded substrates and causes mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID (Sanfilippo D syndrome), the least common subtype of Sanfilippo syndrome.
