Target Information
Hsp70 family proteins, including HSPA2, cooperate with other chaperones to stabilize preexisting proteins against aggregation and assist in the folding of newly synthesized polypeptides. These chaperones recognize nonnative conformations and bind hydrophobic peptide segments exposed during translation, translocation, or stress-induced damage.
