Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal production clones.

Target Information
The protein encoded by the HSPB8 gene belongs to the small heat-shock protein superfamily and contains a conserved alpha-crystallin domain at the C-terminal region.
Its expression is induced by estrogen in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells and functions as a chaperone in association with Bag3, a stimulator of macroautophagy.
This gene is involved in regulation of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and carcinogenesis. Mutations are associated with neuromuscular diseases, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
