Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
DR5 (Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER) is a death domain-containing receptor for TRAIL, mediating TRAIL-induced apoptosis. It is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily and can be activated by TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L to transduce apoptosis signals.
Studies with FADD-deficient mice indicate that FADD is required for DR5-mediated apoptosis.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms and one non-coding transcript have been identified. Overexpression of DR5 induces apoptosis and activates NF-kappa-B. DR5 is expressed in various cell types, particularly in lymphocytes and spleen.
Diseases associated with DR5 dysfunction include squamous cell carcinoma and diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome.
