Target Information
HnRNP A1 belongs to the A/B subfamily of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), which are RNA-binding proteins complexed with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA).
These proteins are associated with pre-mRNA in the nucleus and influence mRNA processing, metabolism, and transport.
HnRNP A1 contains two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNA and is one of the most abundant core proteins in hnRNP complexes, localized mainly in the nucleoplasm. It can shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm, likely bound to mRNA.
