Product Specific Information

MA3-059 detects histone H3 in human samples and has been successfully used in western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence applications.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide conjugated to ovalbumin corresponding to residues 6–17 of Human Histone H3, which is highly conserved across multiple species.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Along with other core histones, it binds DNA to form nucleosomes.
Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histones, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo multiple modifications that affect cellular processes.
