MA3-064 detects dimethyl-phospho-histone H3 Lys9 pSer10 in human samples and has successfully been used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation applications.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide conjugated to ovalbumin corresponding to residues 7–20 of Human Histone H3, which is highly conserved across multiple species.
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Along with four core histone proteins, H3 binds DNA to form nucleosomes.
Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation of histone tails influence chromatin structure and transcription factor binding.
