OMA1-06200 detects bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU).
OMA1-06200 has been successfully used in immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemical and FACS procedures.
This antibody specifically detects free BrdU and BrdU incorporated into nuclear DNA.
OMA1-06200 antigen is purified BrdU.
Store at 4ºC, or in small aliquots at -20ºC.
Target Information
Bromodeoxyuridine (5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine, BrdU) is a synthetic nucleoside and thymidine analogue.
BrdU is used to detect proliferating cells by incorporation into newly synthesized DNA during the S phase.
Antibodies specific for BrdU detect the incorporated chemical, indicating actively replicating cells.
Binding requires DNA denaturation, typically by acid or heat exposure.
