OMA1-06115 specifically detects the phosphorylated 200 kDa neurofilament from Human, Bovine, Canine, Chicken, Guinea Pig, Non-human primate, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Ovine, and Xenopus tissues.
OMA1-06115 has been successfully used in Western blot, IHC (F), and IHC (P) procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 200 kDa protein representing the phosphorylated form of the 200 kDa neurofilament from human brain homogenate.
OMA1-06115 antigen is a cytoskeletal preparation of calf brain tissue.
Target Information
Neurofilaments are intermediate filament proteins found specifically in neurons, composed predominantly of three major proteins: NF-L, NF-M, and NF-H.
NF-H plays an important role in maintaining neuronal caliber and is involved in mature axons.
It is also implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
