Description:
The RN19 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-19 (IL-19), a member of the IL-10 family, which is secreted by activated keratinocytes and monocytes.
Applications Reported:
The RN19 antibody has been reported for use in ELISA capture of mouse IL-19.
Applications Tested:
The RN19 antibody has been tested as the capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of mouse IL-19 in combination with a biotinylated polyclonal anti-mouse IL-19 antibody for detection.
A suitable concentration range for ELISA capture is 1.0–4 µg/mL.
A standard curve with doubling dilutions of recombinant standard from 4000 pg/mL to 30 pg/mL should be included in each ELISA plate.
Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine belonging to the IL-10 cytokine subfamily. It is preferentially expressed in monocytes and binds the IL20 receptor complex, activating STAT3. In mouse, it up-regulates IL6 and TNF-alpha expression and induces apoptosis, indicating a role in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
