Product Specific Information
Clone M048 mouse monoclonal antibody detects a 75 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE (native or denatured) immunoblots of human A549, NCI-H466, NCI-H1299, MDA-MB-231, and A431 carcinoma samples.
In immunocytochemical labeling, the antibody detects CD155 in the membranes and cytoplasm of NCI-H446 cells.
This antibody is validated for use in Western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry, and ELISA capture assays.
Target Information
The CD155 protein is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
Its extracellular domain mediates cell attachment to vitronectin, while the intracellular domain interacts with dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1.
This gene is specific to the primate lineage and functions as a cellular receptor for poliovirus during the initial stage of viral replication.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
