Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while ensuring consistency through recombinant production.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitopes on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Unlike traditional polyclonals, Superclonal™ antibodies have a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility across lots.

Target Information
This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of N-terminal cysteine residues. This chemokine belongs to the CC subfamily, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues.
It exhibits chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, and eosinophils, contributing to leukocyte recruitment at inflammation sites and potentially to antiviral responses against HIV infection.
