Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
SSNA1 (Sjögren syndrome nuclear autoantigen 1), also known as N14 or NA-14 (nuclear autoantigen of 14 kDa), is a 119-amino-acid nuclear and cytoplasmic protein widely expressed in various tissues. It is most highly expressed in testis but also found in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, colon, thymus, ovary, prostate, and small intestine. SSNA1 is associated with microtubule structures and contains an N-terminal dimeric coiled-coil domain and a C-terminal basic domain. It may target spastin activity at the centrosome. The SSNA1 gene is located on human chromosome 9, which contains over 900 genes and represents about 4% of the human genome.
