The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
SPR encodes an aldo-keto reductase that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of pteridine derivatives and plays an important role in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4).
Mutations in this gene cause DOPA-responsive dystonia due to sepiapterin reductase deficiency.
A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1.
