Target Information
TTF1 유전자는 갑상선 특이적 전사 인자로 처음 확인된 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 thyroglobulin 프로모터에 결합하여 갑상선 특이적 유전자의 발현을 조절하며, 형태발생과 관련된 유전자의 발현도 조절하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이 및 결실은 양성 유전성 무도병, 무도증, 선천성 갑상선 기능저하증, 신생아 호흡곤란과 관련이 있으며, 갑상선암과도 연관될 수 있습니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 각각 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
