- Membrane permeabilization is required for flow cytometry applications.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
- Suggested positive control for IHC: human tonsil.
- Antigen retrieval using heat treatment required for paraffin sections.
- Mouse anti-human CD79a antibody, clone HM57, recognizes an epitope within the cytoplasmic domain of CD79a.
Target Information
CD79a forms a disulphide-linked heterodimer with CD79b (B29). It functions as part of the B lymphocyte antigen receptor complex, associating with Ig-alpha and Ig-beta for proper expression and signaling.
CD79a is expressed from the pre-B cell stage through the plasma cell stage, mainly as an intracellular component. It is detected in most precursor B-cell acute leukemias, B-cell lines, lymphomas, and some myelomas, but absent in myeloid or T-cell lines.
Diseases associated include Agammaglobulinemia 3 and Agammaglobulinemia, Non-Bruton type.
