Product Specific Information
- Clone 20/70 has been reported to block the binding of C5a to murine CD88.
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Rat anti-Mouse CD88 antibody, clone 20/70 recognizes murine CD88 (C5aR1), a G-protein coupled receptor involved in immune response.
Target Information
CD88, also known as C5aR1, is a receptor for the potent chemotactic peptide C5a. It mediates inflammatory responses including chemotaxis, enzyme release, and superoxide production. CD88 expression has been observed in various tissues such as brain, liver, lung, spleen, kidney, and intestine.
It is part of the complement cascade and may play a role in tissue injury related to ischemia or sepsis. Diseases associated with CD88 include Mannose-Binding Lectin Deficiency and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
