Description:
The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in embryos, fetuses, and adults. CD41 associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) to form a receptor critical for platelet function, mediating binding to adhesion molecules such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
Recent studies using SLAM-family markers (CD48, CD150) revealed that CD150⁺CD48⁻ bone marrow cells are efficient hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Further enrichment by excluding CD41⁺ cells (CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻) enhances reconstitution efficiency, identifying HSCs with high precision.

Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B):
CD41 consists of α (120 kDa) and β (23 kDa) subunits that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor. It mediates platelet aggregation and binds to proteins such as von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin upon vascular injury. CD41 is mainly expressed in megakaryocyte-platelet lineages and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
