Target Information
IRF3 (interferon regulatory factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존적 면역 반응의 주요 전사 조절 인자입니다. DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천적 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, IFN-alpha 및 IFN-beta 유전자와 IFN-stimulated genes (ISG)의 전사를 조절합니다.
IRF3는 비감염 세포의 세포질에서 비활성 상태로 존재하다가 바이러스 감염 또는 Toll-like receptor 신호에 의해 IKBKE와 TBK1에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동합니다. 이 과정에서 CREB binding protein과 복합체를 형성하여 type I IFN 및 ISG 유전자의 전사를 활성화합니다.
IRF3 유전자의 돌연변이는 특정 감염 유발성 뇌병증과 관련이 있습니다.
