Target Information
MT-ND4 is a core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I). It is part of the minimal assembly required for catalysis, facilitating electron transfer from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for this enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone.
