Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Human thyroglobulin (hTg) is a high molecular weight glycoprotein (605 kDa) found in thyroid follicular cells. It plays a central role in the uptake, incorporation, and regulated biosynthesis of thyroid hormones T4 and T3.
Autoimmune thyroid disorders such as Hashimoto thyroiditis and Graves disease are associated with anti-thyroglobulin autoantibodies, with the highest levels observed in Hashimoto thyroiditis. Anti-hTG is also characteristic of thyroid cancer and can be used for monitoring cancer patients.
