Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-3. Anti-Human NT-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of hNT-3 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human NT-3 (500-P82G) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hNT-3.

Western Blot:
To detect hNT-3 by Western Blot analysis, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hNT-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the neurotrophin family, controlling survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. NTF3 may be involved in maintenance of the adult nervous system and neuronal development in embryos. NTF3-deficient mice exhibit severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide sequence is identical across mammals including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
