Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-3. Anti-Human NT-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human NT-3 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human NT-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human NT-3 (500-P82Bt) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human NT-3.
Western Blot:
To detect Human NT-3 by Western Blot analysis, use at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human NT-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the neurotrophin family, which controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. NTF3 may be involved in maintenance of the adult nervous system and neuronal development in the embryo when expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice show severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide sequence is identical across mammals including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
