Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-4. The anti-Human NT-4-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human NT-4 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human NT-4 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human NT-4 (500-P83BT) as a detection antibody, it enables detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human NT-4.

Western Blot:
For Human NT-4 detection by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human NT-4 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This gene belongs to the neurotrophin family, which regulates survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. Expression is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. Unlike other neurotrophins (NGF, BDNF, NT-3), NTF5-deficient mice show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood.
