Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-3. Anti-Human NT-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hNT-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human NT-3 (500-P82G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hNT-3.

Western Blot:
To detect hNT-3 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hNT-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family, which controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. NTF3 may be involved in maintenance of the adult nervous system and development of neurons in the embryo when expressed in human placenta.
NTF3-deficient mice show severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide of this protein is identical across mammals including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
