Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) is a fluorochrome dye that absorbs ultraviolet or blue light, causing molecules to emit visible yellow-green fluorescence. This emission ceases upon removal of the excitation light.

Fluorochrome labeling enables rapid and accurate localization of antigen-antibody interactions in cells, tissues, or other biological structures. FITC is widely used in immunofluorescent techniques since conjugation to proteins is simple and generally preserves biological activity.

Anti-FITC antibodies can be used for:

• Isolation of FITC-labeled cells via magnetic microbead sorting
• Removal of background fluorescence signals
