Target Information
The family of SR factors contains one or more RNA recognition motifs (RRM) and an SR-rich domain. These proteins are essential for constitutive splicing and regulate alternative splicing by influencing splice site selection.
Splicing factor arginine/serine-rich 15 (SFRS15), also known as CTD-binding SR-like protein RA4, includes one RRM and one SR-rich domain. It interacts with the C-terminal repetitive domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II and links transcription with pre-mRNA processing. SFRS15 is localized in the nucleus and expressed as two isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
