Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD22 (BL-CAM) is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein (130–140 kDa) expressed in the cytoplasm and membrane of B-lymphocytes.
It appears early in B-cell differentiation, similar to CD19, and is mainly expressed in mature B cells (CD22+) but not in plasma cells (CD22−).
CD22 is highly expressed in hairy cell leukemia and positive in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte predominance Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but negative in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
It binds preferentially to α2,6-linked sialic acid and plays a regulatory role in B cell receptor signaling through tyrosine phosphorylation and interaction with Src family kinases and phosphatases.
