Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD22 (BL-CAM) is a type 1 integral membrane glycoprotein (130–140 kDa) expressed in both cytoplasm and cell membrane of B-lymphocytes.
It appears early in B-cell differentiation, similar to CD19 antigen.
Membrane expression is limited to late differentiation stages (mature B cells to plasma cells), useful for phenotyping mature leukemias.
CD22 is strongly expressed in hairy cell leukemia, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and nodular lymphocyte predominance Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but negative in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
It binds preferentially to α2,6-linked sialic acid and plays roles in regulation of B-cell receptor signaling through phosphorylation and interaction with Src family tyrosine kinases.
