Target Information
Myc는 세포 주기 진행, 세포자멸사(apoptosis), 세포 변형에 관여하는 핵 인산화 단백질을 암호화하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. Myc 단백질은 전사 인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E-box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 유전자 전사를 조절합니다. 이 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 인간 암에서 자주 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종 및 다발성 골수종과 관련된 전위(translocation)가 보고되었습니다. 또한 번역은 상류의 in-frame 비AUG(CUG) 및 하류의 AUG 시작 부위에서 개시되어 서로 다른 N-말단을 가진 두 가지 아이소폼을 생성할 수 있습니다.
