Target Information
Myc는 세포 주기 진행, 세포사멸, 세포 변형에 관여하는 핵 인산단백질을 암호화하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. 이 단백질은 전사 인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E-box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 표적 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다. Myc 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 암에서 흔히 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종 및 다발성 골수종과 관련된 전좌가 보고되어 있습니다. 또한 비정상적인 번역 개시 부위(CUG, AUG)를 통해 서로 다른 N-말단을 가진 두 가지 이소폼이 생성될 수 있습니다.
