This antibody has shown reactivity against mouse CD4⁺CD25⁺ T cells and does not react with human Jurkat or mouse CD4⁺CD25⁻ T cell lysates.
Target Information
FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3) is a member of the forkhead/winged-helix family of transcriptional regulators, highly conserved across mammals, and essential for normal immune homeostasis. It is stably expressed in CD25⁺CD4⁺ regulatory T cells and plays a key role as a master regulatory gene for immune regulation. Defects in FOXP3 cause immune dysregulation syndromes such as IPEX in humans and the scurfy phenotype in mice. FOXP3 expression is also regulated by p53 in response to DNA damage in certain cancer cells.
