Product Specific Information

PA1-060 detects phospho-caveolin-2 (Y19) from human and mouse samples.
Immunofluorescent staining of phospho-caveolin-2 (Y19) in NIH 3T3 cells using PA1-060-A488 results in a distinct punctate staining pattern at the cell periphery.


Target Information

Caveolae are specialized plasma membrane domains involved in the sequestration of various lipid and protein molecules.
They play key roles in lipid metabolism, growth regulation, signal transduction, and apoptosis.
Caveolin interacts with and regulates heterotrimeric G-proteins.
There are three known caveolin family members encoding 21–24 kDa integral membrane proteins that form the structural component of caveolae.
Caveolin-2 is abundantly expressed in fibroblasts, differentiated adipocytes, smooth and skeletal muscle, and endothelial cells.
Caveolin-1 shows similar expression patterns, while caveolin-3 is mainly expressed in muscle tissues.
