Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water or equivalent.
Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Centrifuge if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Store reagent in the dark and handle under subdued lighting.
Anti-AKT1 antibody detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms of AKT1.
Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat is expected (85% and 92% sequence identity respectively).
Target Information
AKT1 (PKB alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cell survival.
The activated enzyme inhibits apoptosis and stimulates cell cycle progression through phosphorylation of multiple targets.
AKT1 is activated by insulin, PI3K, IGF1, and other growth factors.
