Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- Restore with deionized water (or equivalent).
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Store reagent in the dark and use subdued lighting during handling and incubation.
Anti-AKT3 antibody is directed against human AKT3 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms. Cross-reactivity with AKT3 from mouse and rat is expected due to 100% sequence identity of the immunogen. Cross-reactivity with AKT2 and AKT1 has not been determined.
Target Information
AKT3 (PKB gamma) is stimulated by PDGF, insulin, and IGF1. It participates in biological processes such as:
- Cell proliferation and differentiation
- Apoptosis and tumorigenesis
- Glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
