Immunogen
MIP-1 beta Antibody Peroxidase Conjugated was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with full-length recombinant human MIP-1 beta protein.
Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Human MIP-1 beta Antibody Peroxidase Conjugated is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis. This purified antibody has been heated to 56°C for 30 minutes.
In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody will recognize both native and recombinant human IL-9 in cell supernatants and certain body fluids. A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.
Target Information
CCL4 (macrophage inflammatory protein 1-beta, MIP1B) belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. Functionally, CCL4 is involved in chemotactic and proinflammatory effects, and homeostasis.
CCL4 is produced by macrophages upon stimulation by bacterial endotoxins and recruits various inflammatory cells at sites of inflammation. It is produced by lymphocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Both CCL4 and CCL3 participate in the host response to bacterial, viral, parasite, and fungal pathogens by regulating the trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells.
CCL4 selectively attracts CD4+ lymphocytes, while CCL3 attracts CD8+ lymphocytes. Both are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells.
The processed form of CCL4 can down-modulate CCR5 receptor expression, inhibiting CCR5-mediated entry of HIV-1 in T cells. CCL4 binds with high affinity to CCR5 receptors.
