Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TACI. Anti-Human TACI-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hTACI by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human TACI (500-P166G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hTACI.

Western Blot:
To detect hTACI by Western blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hTACI is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Members of the TNF superfamily regulate immune responses and induce apoptosis. Two novel members, BAFF (also known as BLyS, TALL-1, THANK, zTNF4) and APRIL (also known as TALL-2), have been identified.
BAFF acts as a B cell activator, inducing B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion, while APRIL regulates both immunological and non-immunological cell growth.
Three receptors—BCMA, TACI, and BAFF-R—bind BAFF and APRIL. TACI and its ligands regulate humoral immune responses, activate NF-kappa-B and c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and are involved in B cell–associated autoimmune diseases.
