Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine RELMbeta. Anti-Murine RELMbeta-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine RELMbeta matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine RELMbeta by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine RELMbeta (500-P215Bt) as detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine RELMbeta.
Western Blot:
For Western Blot analysis, use at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When combined with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Murine RELMbeta is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
Adipose tissue serves as an energy reserve and secretes various physiologically important proteins including LPL, leptin, Acrp30, perilipin, and resistin. Resistin (also known as Adipocyte Secreted Factor, ADSF, or FIZZ3) is a cytokine secreted by adipocytes. It plays a role in insulin resistance and glucose metabolism, with elevated serum resistin levels observed in obese, diabetic mice. Expression of resistin requires C/EBP alpha and is influenced by coactivators CBP and p300 with histone acetyltransferase activity. PPAR gamma and RXR ligands have been shown to downregulate resistin expression in adipocytes.
