Product Specific Information

Description:
The monoclonal mouse IgG2b is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
PE-Cy7 Mouse IgG2b Isotype Control has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

488–561 nm / 775 nm

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in adaptive immunity.
It participates in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), as well as regulation of immune responses such as T cell activation and B cell inhibition.
Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research and diagnostic applications including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, and has applications in immunotherapy and vaccine development.
