Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody m2a-15F8 recognizes mouse IgG2a antibodies and can be used as a second-step reagent in flow cytometry and microscopy.
It does not recognize other mouse isotypes nor cross-react with rat IgG2a or any rat isotype antibodies.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use ≤ 0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Careful titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Light Sensitivity: Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
Excitation: 488–561 nm

They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target antibodies.
Secondary antibodies enhance versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody.
Produced by immunizing host animals with pooled mouse immunoglobulins and purified via immunoaffinity chromatography.
May be further modified for specific applications (e.g., fragmentation, label conjugation).
