Product Specific Information
Description:
This is a monoclonal mouse IgG2a antibody used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.
Applications Reported:
This eBM2a antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use the isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.
Excitation / Emission:
488–561 nm / 775 nm; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It plays a key role in adaptive immunity, involved in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It regulates immune responses including T cell activation and B cell inhibition. Widely used in research and diagnostics such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic studies including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
