Target Information

DR3/TNFRSF25 is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, expressed mainly in lymphocyte-rich tissues. It plays a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis, stimulating NF-κB activity, and controlling apoptosis. Signal transduction involves death domain–containing adaptor proteins. Knockout studies suggest its role in eliminating self-reactive T cells in the thymus.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, producing membrane-bound or secreted isoforms. In T-cell activation, full-length membrane-bound isoforms predominate, regulating lymphocyte proliferation.
