This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Rat, and Rabbit.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

SMURF2 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 enzyme to targeted substrates. It interacts with SMAD1, SMAD2, and SMAD7 to trigger their ubiquitination and proteasome-dependent degradation. SMURF2 enhances the inhibitory activity of SMAD7 and reduces the transcriptional activity of SMAD2. Coexpression with SMAD1 leads to a significant decrease in SMAD1 protein levels and a smaller decrease in SMAD2 levels.
